Tripod - Its worth the money. You can take your own photos or join the family on vacation without taking help of others. this fits literally anywhere. I used to face lot of problems to take group photo including me.

I bought this when I was leaving for New Zealand...I don't want to carry my big tripod, so I tried this one. I didn't used it much, but the times I used it was pretty neat...it holds my camera (canon rebel xti) steadily on the fence while i took a pic of myself infront of all the sheeps...hahaha

I spent days looking for a tripod to use with my new Nikon D80 SLR that would be small enough for world travel but reliable enough for solid shooting even with a 300mm zoom, and this baby did it for me! I seldom can see myself encountering a situation that I couldn't wrap it around something, ie. pole, bench, tree, rock, kayak, statue, fire hydrant . . ..

I got a little remote for my camera and was able to take pictures of my wife and I in all sorts of situations! Definitely look for a remote if you will want proof of where you've been!

Only think missing this from getting 5 stars is the lack of a tripod head!! You will have to buy one because it is very hard to use the gorilla pod without it. I got a simple heavy ball mount for about $25.00 form my local camera store (couldn't seem to find a reasonable one online).
